DOUBLE CD FOR THE PRICE OF ONE. Bob Wallis led one of the mosr successful bands of the Trad era having hit singles and as on disc one of this collection, an LP in the charts. As always the popularity drew attention away from a more serious jazz musician. Bob himself was a fine Red Allen influenced trumpet player and the rare tracks on disc 2 (from the small '77Records' catalogue reveal a band at the forefront of the burgeoning New Orleans scene in London in the late 1950s.
