A second place in the Small Band category of the British Jazz Awards before they had made their debut album and had only played a handful of gigs is testament to the quality of this band: a superb rhythm section backing four of the finest jazz trombonists in the country. Add to the mixture three world class guests, Mark Nightingale, Roy Williams and Alistair White, some top class arrangments of a wide range of material and the result is a superb album.
